Yes, I saw the film in its first week of release (if not on the
first day; you know how it is with the memory once u get to my age :(

The film starred haranath, jamuna and SVR. The storyline has to
do with reversal of fortunes, and strains on relationships. The hero, I
think, looses his sight and regains it following a surgery in the end.

SVR might have been the producer of 'naadee aaDa janmE', a remake
of a successful Tamil film (bommai), starring NTR, haranath, and Savitri.
Has a hit song - kannayaa, nallani kannayyaa...

Before or after chadarangam, SVR also produced/directed a movie:
baandhavyaalu, which is the debut film for Lakshmi (then known only as
daughter of rukmiNi). I didn't see that film.
