As my follow up is related to G, I think it is appropriate to post it here.

If I remember (rather heard) correctly, ghanTasaala says
'chinhamu' for 'chihnamu' in a song

'idi mana bhaarateeya SilpakaLaa vaibhavamu
idi praacheena naagarikathaa **chinhamu**
idi maanavatakE swarNayugamu

aanaaTi maanavuDu Emi chESaaDu
eenaaTi maanavuDu Emi chooSaaDu' from 'sumangaLi'

I am surprised to notice such 'ucchaaraNa lOpam' from G!
(a la NTR's agnaanamu?). FYI.
