The practice of sankshipta Sabda chitraalu on radio (Sunday
afternoons in VJA station once a month) goes a long way back, predating
my childhood too (my children would say, 'thaT ees OLD'), a time
when TV was not even on the planning board in AP.

Some of the music sequences suggested by sooryam gaaru was
released on 78 rpm records. I remember a 78 rpm record from gunDamma
katha, which had the two dance music numbers on either side.

HMV is not in the business of satisfying us nostalgia buffs, but is
there to make money. They would need to be convinced that there is a
market for such items.

The best way for the nostalgia buffs is to get a good quality
videotape and record the music off of it on to their audiotapes.
