Can we really have such a voice and melody again ? May be, No.
Recently ETV telecasted vinOdA vAri " dEvadAsu" which I watched quite seriously.
It took me days to recover from the haunting melody of "kala idanI,
nijamidanI" and others. 2 days back in Channel 8, we could see "santAnam", in
which Ghantasala sang songs like "kanu moosinA kanipincE nijamidErA, ila
lEdura nItI, intEnurA lOka nIti" and "callani vennelalO".
Perhaps, MD's like susarla, penDyAla and others were fortunate to have a singer
like him who could emote exactly the way MD wanted. Undoubtedly, G
remains in the hearts of every Telugu, today, tomorrow and forever.

I can still feel my nerves vibrating with serious emotion when I listen to
Ghantasala's " mANikyaveeNAm muphalAlayanteem" from mahAkavi kALidAsu.
It is true that you will a flower singing when you listen to karuNasrI's
pushpa vilApam by Ghantasala in the lines "nAmAnasamandedO taLukumanenu,
pushpa vilApa kAVyamai".
Can anyone forget "bhAratIyula kaLA prAbhavammolikinci" and other gEyAlu
by G.

rAjAgAru, you made the posting a fine inspiration on this day !
