Subba Rao is twisted version of Subramanyam (may be origin goes to
british dynasty where bandhopadyaya turned to Benerji and Chatopadyaya
turned Chatarjee) Like Appa rao is a version of Appalanarasimham.
Lighter side...

Viskhapatnam Lo Rayee visirite adi 95% Apparao Ki tagultundi.
Vijayawada lo guppedu Isaka Gaallo ki Visirite. Adi Subba Rao la meedo
Pandu La meedo paduthundi
(this is a statement made by an IAS officer whose name is Singh who is
known to be upright and efficient officer who declared war on street
pigs... Vinikidi matramenandi)
