Sri gunTUru SeshEndra Sarma will be turning 70 next month. He has
written many poems - both in chandassu and in free form. There are those
that call him "yuga kavi" and there are many that have general interest
in literature that never heard of him. No matter what, I think it can be
safely stated that he has a unique style. His "soundarya drishti" is
usually compared to that of tilak.

It may be a good time to look at his poetry - I haven't seen any of his
recent works. My invitation to all knowledgeable commentators for a
critical evaluation of his works and his influence on others. I am
familiar with his works until nA rastA published by Emesco in '75. After
that only sporadic pieces here and there. As someone that wrote poetry
for a long period of time, he deserves some discussion (I know that he
got several awards and I remember seeing a shashTipUrti sancika with lot
of pictures showing him with world leaders and so on - he obviously has
been quite successful in making the right contacts at high levels). I
would wait for more knowledgeable pesons at this forum to pitch in
before I show my ignorance.
